Socialight (socialight.com) is an NYC-based technology startup that lets you use your cellphone for 'urban navigation'. People use Socialight to explore and share their world in new ways, using location-based notes with text, pictures, sound, and video. We’ve been featured in The New York Times, Business 2.0, on Discovery Channel and CNN, and across leading blogs.
We're looking for a superstar intern to work with us, learn from us, and help us build the business. We offer interns flexible hours in a laid-back office environment in Manhattan.
We're a trailblazing company in a fast-moving industry. Are you right for this internship? You just might be if you are:
- Familiar with the MVC (model-view-controller) architectural pattern,
- Well-versed in OO Programming,
- Comfortable writing code for interacting with web services, and
- A self-starter who truly cares about user experience.
You get bonus points if you:
- Have a passion for mobile technology and maps.
- Show us some of your recent work.
- Have played around, or maybe even built, with Ruby on Rails.
We also have full-time positions available if you have experience working in Ruby on Rails.
